Meetings

The Board of Directors’ regular meetings are held every third Wednesday of the month at 6:00pm at the District office and are open to the public.

Public Input

All public comments are limited to two minutes per individual. Public comments on any non-agenda item matter within the jurisdiction of the District will be heard during the public comment time listed on the agenda. To contact the Board by email submit your email to board [at] heightswaterdistrict.com. Any public comments received by email or letter will be forwarded to all Board members.

Serving on a Board   

To apply for the unexpired term of an elected or appointed Board member, please fill out and return the following application to the District office or by email to board [at] heightswaterdistrict.com.  If you are a non registered property owner and need to request a ballot for a district election select the link below. A list of the current candidates that have filed for the upcoming election is available below or by going to the Yellowstone County website.

Qualifications of Directors

To be eligible for election or appointment to a board of directors, a person must be:

  • registered to vote as required by law;
  • 18 years of age or older;
  • a citizen of the United States; and
  • a resident of the district or an owner of real property in the district who is a resident of the state of Montana.
